
Karl Eze is Chief Executive Officer of Point Zenith, a defence and national security company involved with Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS).
Karl was first introduced to the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers when, in a previous company, he was involved with the manufacture and proofing of a novel recoilless aluminium shotgun and other firearms able to be mounted on a UAS platforms.
Karl served 12 years as an Officer in the Royal Artillery, reaching the rank of Major and served on operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and the wider Middle East and as a defence technologist prior to transferring to the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in the Army Reserve since 2018. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in a staff appointment in the Regimental Headquarters of the Royal Artillery.
A graduate of University College London with a BSc in Human Genetics, Karl also studied for an MSc in Battlespace Technology with Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the UK. He is the founder of the British Military Drone Racing; he credits this with helping him to transition from his job at Goldman Sachs to get further into defence technology. He is passionate about supporting the dimensions of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) within education.
Karl is a keen shot with the L85A2 rifle, he has previously participated in operational shooting competitions, leading his regimental team to win 17 of the 18 awards in 2010 and personally holding the title of best shot with the L86A2 Light Support Weapon. He enjoys clay pigeon and game shooting, having converted over to firing from the left shoulder with a shotgun, though still firing from the right shoulder with rifles.

The Gunmakers Company Charitable Trust is the charitable arm of the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers which was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1637 to promote and regulate gunmaking, a role it still fulfils today.
