After a record-breaking attendance of 128,000 visitors at The Game Fair at Ragley Hall over the weekend of 25 – 27 July, the show is proud to announce that the final amount raised for its Official Charity Partner, The Gunmakers Trust, was £10,954.

The opportunity to donate was available on The Game Fair website and box office, where ticket purchasers could opt in to add a donation to their basket.  The Gunmakers Trust also attended the show with a stand on the iconic Gunmaker’s Row, giving them a valuable platform to showcase their craft and important work to a large audience. The funds raised will go towards supporting The Gunmakers Trust’s work, including the apprentice bursary scheme, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that the next generation of skilled gunmakers are nurtured and supported.

“The Gunmakers Trust was delighted to be appointed as The Official Charity Partner to The Game Fair 2025,’ commented Robin Curtis, Chairman of Trustees, “We attended the show as an exhibitor for the first time, enabling us to interact in a unique environment with the British gunmaking trade, fellow Liverymen and supporters of education and training at the grass roots level. We were humbled to learn that donations made via online ticket sales to The Game Fair were just shy of £11,000, a truly spectacular figure that will enable us to fully fund an apprentice gunmaker bursary for two years. I would like to personally and sincerely thank everybody who contributed.”

Managing Director of The Game Fair, James Gower, commented, “We were thrilled to welcome The Gunmakers Trust as our Official Charity Partner for The Game Fair 2025. It was inspiring to see so many visitors engage with the Trust’s mission and contribute so generously. To have raised such a fantastic amount through ticket donations is a testament to the strength of our community’s support for preserving British craftsmanship and investing in future generations of gunmakers. It’s exactly the kind of impact we hoped this partnership would achieve.”

Looking ahead, The Game Fair look to continue this partnership, which aims to establish long-term strategies, including international showcasing opportunities – such as a potential British Gunmaking Pavilion at the ADIHEX show in Abu Dhabi – and the development of new networking initiatives to unlock further funding and cross-industry collaboration.

The Game Fair will be returning to Ragley Hall, with the confirmed dates of 24 – 26 July 2026.
