The Gunmakers Trust are proud to announce that we have been appointed as the official charity partner for The Game Fair, the UK’s largest countryside show, taking place at Ragley Hall, 25 – 27 July. This marks a significant collaboration that celebrates and safeguards the future of British gunmaking.
The opportunity to donate will be highlighted on The Game Fair box office, where ticket purchasers can opt-in to add a small donation to their basket. Independent gunmakers will be supported to exhibit at The Game Fair, giving them a valuable platform to showcase their craft to a wide and passionate audience. Additional fundraising activities will support The Gunmakers Trust apprentice bursary scheme, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that the next generation of skilled gunmakers is nurtured and supported.

“This partnership couldn’t be more aligned with the values of The Game Fair,” said James Gower, Managing Director of The Game Fair. “The preservation of craft, heritage, and excellence is at the heart of both The Gunmakers Trust and our event. We’re proud to stand behind British gun making and the talented individuals who keep this tradition alive.”
Speaking on behalf of the Trust, Chairman Robin Curtis said, “The partnership will certainly help The Gunmakers Trust to raise awareness of its work, introduce the public to the intricate and skilled world of traditional gun making, and highlight the importance of passing those skills on to future generations. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet gunmakers, engage with apprentices, and learn more about the craft.”
There is definitely something for everyone at The Game Fair: shooting, gundogs, debates, exhibitors, fine art, archery, fishing, cooking demonstrations, celebrities, camping and glamping, VIP enclosures, falconry, hounds – everything and anything related to the countryside is at your fingertips. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, don’t forget to tick the box to donate to The Gunmakers Trust at thegamefair.org.
